$2.3b PPP Portfolio Refinancing

In 2015, a team led by Ryan refinanced a portfolio of 4 PPP projects (New Bendigo Hospital, Sunshine Coast University Hospital, the Sydney International Convention Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct Project, and the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison PPP Project), with a total project value of $4.3 Billion and a total debt refinancing task of $2.3 Billion. 

The project required a significant amount of legal and financial analysis in addition to typical due diligence given the complexity of the projects and the fact that all four were still in the construction phase.  The investors in the Projects, and associated State Governments realised significant benefits through the reduction in debt margins and structural amendments to the facilities.

Ryan led the team which successfully completed this landmark refinancing.
