Hutchinson Builders, in partnership with Tetris Capital, have recently reached completion and subsequently Commercial Acceptance of the 13-storey student accommodation development for the University of Tasmania in Hobart. The project at 42 Melville Street involves 422 beds of accommodation as well as additional university areas which will support UTAS’ growing presence in the Hobart CBD.
The impressive facility was delivered ahead of schedule in time for semester one 2021 and will provide students with everything they need for independent living. In addition, an array of shared spaces will foster community including a sky lounge with BBQ, community gardens, games lounge, yoga studio, tv rooms, co-working spaces and vertical villages connecting communal spaces.
