Manildra Solar Farm

1998 Packham Drive, Manildra NSW 2865

The 48.5MW project achieved financial close in 2017.  The project includes 466,000 First Solar advanced thin film PV modules and was constructed by RCR O'Donnell Griffin Pty ltd. The project connects into the 11/132kV Essential Energy Substation.

The project was awarded a $9.8 million of grant funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and was developed by Infigen Energy before being sold to First Solar at Financial Close.

The Manildra solar farm:

  • has capacity to power equivalent of 14,000 NSW homes per year

  • utilises single axis tracking technology to maximise the output

  • displaces 91,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually - equivalent to taking 24,000 cars off the road

Frank oversaw the development of the project through to the sale to First Solar at financial close.
