Bay Village Karratha FIFO Accommodation Refinancing

Karratha, Western Australia

Tetris Capital is pleased to have supported DIF Capital Partners as financial advisor on the successful refinancing of the Bay Village Karratha FIFO Accommodation Project. Tetris successfully refinanced approximately $85 million of senior debt through a full tenor, low-cost, fully hedged senior debt facility from lead underwriter MUFG, taking advantage of the asset’s robust operational performance.

The Bay Village FIFO Accommodation, located in Karratha, Western Australia, comprises a 604-bed fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) facility purpose-built to accommodate employees and contractors engaged in Woodside's North-West Shelf and Pluto projects. The facility offers a range of amenities, including a gym, outdoor swimming pool, recreational spaces, and dining areas, ensuring comfort and convenience for its residents. Managed and maintained under a comprehensive design, build, finance, operate, and maintain availability-style contract with Woodside, Compass Group ensures the upkeep of facilities and front-of-house services for all residents.

With Woodside's firm commitment to projects like the Scarborough Project and Pluto Train 2, the Bay Village accommodation plays a pivotal role in supporting and bolstering these initiatives, aligning with the global energy transition and supporting neighbouring nations in emission reduction efforts.

Tetris Capital's strategic financial expertise led to a successful transition, building upon their asset management team's existing experience who have been acting as the Project Co asset manager since 2021.

The successful refinancing underscores Tetris Capital's ability to secure competitive financing solutions for their clients and the critical infrastructure projects they own.
