Tetris Capital will lead the end-to-end development of the largest Queensland social and affordable housing precinct in partnership with the Queensland Government.


Located in Cairns’ southern corridor, the development will create a master-planned community featuring 490 new social, affordable, and specialist disability homes. The development of the project included design, planning, structuring, construction procurement and financing activities. Tetris Capital retains ongoing involvement in the project as the project investor and will oversee delivery and operations.


Transforming a disused former drive-in cinema site, this innovative project will offer seniors the opportunity to downsize from larger homes and enjoy a well-connected, supportive environment, while also helping to free up under-utilised social housing for families in need.

The development includes a mix of social and affordable housing purpose built for seniors and people living with disability and will make an important contribution to meeting the needs of these households and the community.

Community Housing Limited (CHL) and Tetris Capital are joining forces to deliver and manage the homes with construction undertaken by FCC Construction Australia and Modscape.

​

Adopting innovative construction methodologies to help solve the housing crisis, FCC Construction Australia will be joined by local modular housing supplier Modscape to help deliver the impressive package of works, with most of the materials and labour planned to be Australian sourced.

​

Once complete and tenanted, CHL will provide onsite staff and work with support partners to deliver lifestyle programs aimed at reducing social isolation and encouraging active lifestyles.

 

Tetris Capital is at the helm of this transformation which addresses housing supply in partnership with government.
