
Royal Children's Hospital Project

The $1b Royal Children’s Hospital Project achieved financial close in 2007. The project was undertaken in 2 phases, both of which were successfully completed on time and budget.
On 21 November 2007 it was announced that the Children's Health Partnership would design, build, finance and maintain the hospital for a 25-year period.
The new RCH:
-
has capacity to treat an additional 35,000 patients each year;

provides over 2,000 carparks and more than 500 bicycle spaces;

provides more accommodation and other facilities for parents;
-
has more play areas, better park access and expanded childcare facilities;

includes state of the art research and education facilities and;
-
includes a range of shops and services for staff, patients, families, carers and visitors.
Stephen led the bid team and was Project Director.
